Gear

Motor Bike

I use an incredible motorcycle – the Honda CB500X – it is a perfect size for riding around Indonesia with all my gear. I can carry a passenger along with all my camera, hiking, camping and scuba diving equipment. It’s great on the long (and sometimes broken) roads of Indonesia and it has and a lot of power to overtake those slow moving trucks and bikes. It pulls great up the hills and mountains and can do a little bit of off-road. I use a set of Pirelli scorpion rally STR tyres and have a mixture of luggage systems including Hepco & Becker paneer boxes, a Shad tank bag, Kriega R30 backpack and some other crash bar bags. The sump/skid pan has saved me a few times! And I have a bigger side stand foot along with some ready strong high powered lights to light up the night roads!

Cameras

I have many different cameras. I have been using Sony Rx100vii for most of my underwater imaging but recently upgraded to the Sony A7Siii in a Nauticam underwater housing. I have two video lights and an INON wide angle wet lens/dome and several macro diopters. Sometimes I use a Sony 35-60mm kit lens and a Sony 90mm macro lens. I have a DJI Mavic 3 drone and several GoPro’s (Hero 11 and Hero 12 Black. I have been using a GoPro Max for some 360 shots too. I have a handheld Gimbal and tripods too. All packed into my bike!

Scuba Gear

I carry around a lot of scuba diving equipment. And most of it I have had for years! This includes; an Apeks Flight regulator, a Scubapro lighthawk BCD, Mares Fins, a Cressi 3mm wetsuit and a load more little things! All of this is carried transported in a Cressi Whale backpack that I strap onto the back of the bike!
