About Me

Originally from the UK, I have lived in Indonesia and South East Asia for over 10 years and have made Bali my second home. I spend the majority of my time travelling around this vast archipelago, visiting the tiny remote islands, imposing volcanos and trekking through jungles and rainforests to spot wildlife and different tribes. 

I am a certified dive master with well over 1000 dives logged in Indonesia alone and have dived the top sites in the classic areas such as Komodo, Raja Ampat, Bali and North Sulawesi. But have  also been scuba diving in some more remote places too such as Banda, Manuk,Halmahera, Maluku and triton bay. 

Hiking is another great hobby of mine and Indonesia has some of the finest hikes in the world, most of them being active volcanos. I have been to Gunung Gede, Gunung Ciremai,  Gunung Sumbing, Gunung Agung, Gunung Tambora and Gunung Soputan. Another thing that fascinates me is the mysterious ancient history of Indonesia with very little research that has been done. Relativity recently the Homo Florensis (the hobbit man) was found on the island of Flores. Sites like Gunung Padang thought to be an ancient pyramid has gained international attention from Graham Hancock’s ancient apocalypse on Netflix. And there are still many megalithic sites in Sulawesi that very little research has been performed on like Bada and Besoa valley’s strange stone jars and statues.
